Volvo C30 ES 2.0 - now starts at £14,995
It’s been all change at Volvo in the last year, with the Swedish car maker going from being the last vestige of Ford’s ill-fated Premier Auto Group to the first high-profile car maker to fall to the Chinese resurgence as an economic force. Volvo also has a new boss in former VW man Stefan Jacoby, who has made it clear he doesn’t see Volvo as a ‘Premier’ marque. Not that he’s downplaying what Volvo has to offer, he’d just prefer us to think of Volvo as unique and Swedish rather than in competition with the likes of Mercedes and BMW.

CAR Online reader Tim Hiscocks so enjoyed our recent Italian supercar adventure to Monaco (CAR Magazine, January 2008), he drew up a cartoon of the road trip featuring the Alfa Romeo 8C, Ferrari 430 Scuderia and Maserati Granturismo. Hyundai has made a few tweaks to the Genesis coupe for the 2014 model, following a major redesign for 2013. The exterior stays the same, but the company has made a number of changes with the standard equipment, in addition to drivetrain and exterior options. Perhaps the biggest change to the Genesis coupe's drivetrain for the 2014 model year is a downshift rev-matching system, which has been standard for models equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
